Refuse Poverty. Tuesday April 9th
Pastor Caleb

‘’The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender‘’ (Proverbs 22:7) kjv

The dictionary defines poverty as a state of being poor, destitution, scantiness, deficiency and scarcity. A state of one who lacks material possession or money. It has also been established that poverty is more of a thinking pattern. It should not be limited to the absence of required necessities; it can also be described as the confession of inability. Poverty is not good and it is not the best place to be, however It’s going to continue to be in this world as the Lord hinted (John 12:8).

Poverty is at varying levels. Someone can have some basic life requirements and still be poor. There is a difference between acquiring material possessions and having a strong influence where everything is working for you and not the other way round.

‘’Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man’’ (Ecclesiastes 9:15) kjv

I can’t stop wondering why this man could not use his wisdom to first transform his own life? Nobody cared about his achievements afterwards; he was like a fluke. Every trail blazers past and present were people who knew how to transform their ideas into marketable products or services; thus we conclude that poverty and wealth are both products of the mind.

Poverty does not answer to fasting’s and prayers; hard work and labor have little or no effect in solving this dilemma. It may initially come to an individual based on family of birth or background but the day a man says NO MORE! Through God’s special grace, a determined and disciplined mindset coupled with well-directed input; poverty will definitely become history. Refuse every iota of poverty today.

Further Studies: 2 Corinthians 8:9, Proverbs 14:20-21.
Confessions: I refuse to be poor, to lack or be broke. Nothing is too good for me in this world; I say no more! to all forms of poverty, thank you Jesus.
